Control Panel / Audit Logs & Reports¶
Audit managers and System administrators can view Logs & Reports on various events that occur within the system.
By default, MAGIQ Documents is not set up to collect the information that appears in the Reports listed below. For this information to be collected, the relevant audit logs must be ticked when specifying library policies.
Available Logs & Reports include the following information displayed is for a specified date range.
- New Documents and Folders.
- New versions.
- Checked out documents.
- Check ins.
- Version deletes.
- Folder and Document Deletes.
- Disposition Log.
- Security Audit Log.
- Ownership changes.
- Login Logs.
- Login Attempts.
- Error Logs
- Notification Logs.
Note
Further audit logs and reports can be run through the MAGIQ Documents Reports module.
To view the Audit Log for documents and folders for the entire system¶
- Navigate to the MAGIQ Documents Control Panel.
- Click Logs & Reports.
- The "Audit Log" window will appear.
- Select the log you wish to view.
- Specify a date range to narrow the report to a specific time interval.
- Click Show to display the log.
Note
It is important to note that audit logs can be turned on and off for each individual library in MAGIQ Documents. If an audit log for a specific event is not turned on in a given library, these events will not be logged. So even when running these reports from the control panel you will not be able to see these events captured for libraries that do not have the logging turned on.
