Configuring Gadgets

Depending on the gadget chosen will present different options such as

Box Title

Name of Gadget which displays on portal.

Anonymous Access

Setting anonymous access to 'True' allows access to the icon without being logged in to MAGIQ. This can be used for icons that contain general information, such as policies, guides or information that you wish to advise the organisation. For MAGIQ Modules such as the In Tray, Navigator or Workbench it would be set to False, as it requires the user to be logged into MAGIQ Documents.

Z index

Value indicates where the gadget will be located on a Z axis, relative to the other gadgets. It can be left as '3'

Content Type

Image Name

This relates to the 'Image' gadget.

Before linking to the new image, the image will need to be uploaded as a Portal Resource.

Path to relevant item for example, a MAGIQ Documents URL or perhaps to a location on the file server.

Depending on the Gadget Type used the options of Border, Header and Body may display.

The gadget can be formatted in any way you choose.

Border

Specify what style, colour or any extra styles you want applied for the gadgets border.

Extra styles requires css settings to be applied, for example padding:8px;

Specify what background colour, text colour, font, font size, font weight (Bold or italics) and any extra styles required for the gadget heading.

Body

Sepcify what background colour, font, font size, font colour, font weight, padding, extra style or include introduction text.

Introduction Text displays for specific gadget such as 'My Favourites', 'My Tasks'.

Updating an Existing Gadget

To update the name, path of item, borders, font etc

Click settings, in top right-hand corner of gadget.
