Render to PDF¶

Render to PDF allows documents that are registered into MAGIQ Document to be rendered/converted to PDF (refer below for a list of supported formats).

Two key features of Render to PDF are:

View MS Office document as PDF¶

Enables a user to render an MAGIQ Document document as a PDF document.

Users can view the document without the need for the original Microsoft Office software installed on their workstation/device.

Generate PDF Version of existing MS Office documents within MAGIQ Documents¶

Enables a user to select an existing MAGIQ Documents document and save as a separate PDF document within MAGIQ Documents together with the original meta-data. Users can automatically generate and publish a PDF version of an existing document.

Distribute the PDF version of a MS Office document to an external person/organisation
Publish document to your website in PDF format
Archive document for long term preservation

Supported Office Document Formats¶

Render to PDF currently supports the following Office document formats:

DOC - Microsoft Word 1997-2003
DOCX - Microsoft Word 2007-2010
XLS - Microsoft Excel 1997-2003
XLSX - Microsoft Excel 2007-2010
JPG - JPG Image Format
PNG - PNG Image Format
BMP - Bitmap Image Format
TXT - Text Documents
HTML - HTML Documents (excluding generated from Form Templates)
