Auto Reply / Create Word Templates¶
Using Microsoft word, create a letter specific to the information needed such as an acknowledgement, or delivery of service.
Format the letter to conform with the organisations standards.
To help establish organisational standard letters liaise with each department, as they will have letters they use regularly. All that would be required is bookmarks to be included and the standard format applied.
Place a "name" ie firstname or "field name" ie ix_correspondent_given_name where information is required to be automatically populated by MAGIQ Documents.
Bookmarks¶
Identify which fields are required for auto population by inserting bookmarks.
Bookmark names must be unique (if being used more than once, for example IX_Correspondent_Surname1) and cannot include spaces. Bookmarks are not case sensitive.
If requiring metadata from the document properties screen, the section that the metadata resides in will be used first, then the field name separated by an underscore, for example:
General_Documentid General_Description General_Owner General_CreationDate General_ModificationDate
If requiring metadata from custom properties, the custom property name will be used (based on the name field at setup time), then the name of the field (created at setup time) separated by an underscore, for example:

Creating Bookmarks¶
- Highlight the bookmark name.
- Select Insert – Bookmark (Alt I - Down Arrow - k).
- If using the bookmark name of firstname, highlight and enter ix_correspondent_given_name.
- If using the bookmark name of ix_correspondent_given_name, highlight, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste the bookmark name (Ctrl + V).
- Click Add.
Note
To view bookmarks, activate the show bookmark option under Tools – Options, View Tab, tick Bookmarks within show section.
- Save the document as a template (.docx) with an appropriate name that will reflect its purpose into the document library of Form Templates\Auto-Reply Templates or Form Templates\MAGIQ Office Templates depending on how your setup is.
Note
When saving the template, select Document Template first, then select your destination.
