Auto Reply / Troubleshooting¶
Q. I have entered the same bookmark multiple times, but not all bookmarks have data A. Does the bookmark alias exist within the Foundation Manager? A. Does the Meta Data exist on the document properties?
Q. Does MAGIQ Documents have any sample templates? A. Yes, they are located in the document library of \Form Templates\Auto-Reply Templates\MAGIQ Documents Example Templates.
Q. How do I get today’s date to appear on the letter? A. Create a bookmark called Date_Today.
Q. When I open the letter in word, the date changes to the date that I opened it on A. Using Microsoft Words insert date/time feature will do this. Create a bookmark called Date_Today.
Q. My templates are not showing in the correct sections A. Are the templates placed into the correct subfolders within \Form Templates\Auto-Reply Templates?
Q. How do I include the logged in user’s full name on the letter? A. Create a bookmark called Current_User.
Q. How do I include the Owners name of the selected document onto the template? A. Create a bookmark called General_Owner.
Q. How do I edit the template without having to re save?
A. Navigate to the document library of \Form Templates\Auto-Reply Templates, select edit from the action drop down menu next to the template that requires changes.
Complete changes and save. A new version of the template will be created.
Q. The default document type is Inwards, how do I change this to Outwards Correspondence? A. Within the Foundation Manager, select Settings – MAGIQ, refer to the Auto Reply Settings section.
Q. The Auto Reply letter is not saving A. Make sure that Check in and outs are allowed on the folder and library policies.
Incorrect Correspondent Information appearing¶
If two correspondent property sets are displayed on the document, only the first correspondent will display on letter.
Solution: Edit the first correspondent to be the one that you want to come through, edit the second correspondent to be the other.
