Moving Workflows and Tasks

Moving tasks to different folders at each step

Steps within a workflow can move to specific folders, this is ideal if users who are required to work on the document/task but do not have access to the parent folder.

To move a document/step

  • Within Tools menu > Workflow Definitions.
  • Highlight the relevant workflow.
  • Highlight the relevant step.
  • Click Edit Steps located in the left side bar.
  • Choose Select, next to 'On start move to folder' to navigate to the relevant folder.
  • Click Ok.
  • Repeat for each step.

Moving an entire workflow to a different folder at the end of the workflow

A workflow may have been moved at a particular step(s) and the document is required to be relocated back in the "original" parent folder when the last task in the workflow is completed.

To move an entire document/workflow

  • Within Tools menu > Workflow Definitions.
  • Highlight the relevant workflow.
  • Click Properties located in the left side bar.
  • Click Select next to 'On end move to folder' to navigate to the relevant folder.
