Workflow Examples¶
Workflows are the simplest method for assigning a document around the organisation and to the right people every time.
Workflows can be used in many ways such as development applications, service requests or invoicing etc, a basic ad-hoc workflow or a more generic workflow for action and information.
Action and Information (Ad-hoc) Workflows¶
Example 1 - Action and FYI¶
Task/Document goes to one user, but wish to select others to receive it for information
This can be defined in two tasks within the one step, for example

At the time of registration, the workflow will go to Karen and whoever else is nominated. As the 'Information' task doesn't have any users assigned you'll be prompted to select users who will receive the document for information.
Example 2 - Adhoc¶
A generic type workflow setup so you can specify who document/task goes to. This is the most common of workflows.

At the time of registration, you will be prompted to select users to receive the document.
Predefined workflows¶
These have users specified at each step/task as it will follow a certain process in the organisation for example Service Requests, Development Applications, Human Resources, Invoicing etc.

At the time of registration, the document will be sent to Grace first. Once Grace has completed his task, it will then move onto Trevor.
