User Profile¶
To modify User details, place a tick next to the User then Select Properties from the Menu Bar. The User Profile page will display. To make a change, select the Edit button that appears at the bottom of each section on the right-hand side of the screen.
General¶
Username¶
The Username of the currently selected user. If windows authentication is selected this will be the same as the user's Windows Username
First Name¶
The first name of the currently selected user.
Last Name¶
The last name of the currently selected user.
User Status¶
Enabled or Disabled, ensure Enabled is selected when creating users.
User Type¶
Author or Read Only, ensure Authors is selected when creating users.
Authentication Type¶
All users must have a valid account in MAGIQ before they can access its secure resources. MAGIQ user accounts are generally created by the System Administrator. When setting up an account an Authentication Type must be selected.
Password¶
To change the user's password, select 'Change Password' button.
Login Date¶
Shows the date and time the user last logged in to MAGIQ Documents
Settings and Preferences¶
Language Preference¶
Update with the language of choice, all system text will appear in the selected language.
Default Portal¶
Entering the name of a default portal will determine the portal the selected user is presented with on logging in. If this is left blank, the Default portal will be displayed
Email¶
Any email notification generated by MAGIQ will automatically be sent to this address.
Notification Type¶
This controls how often users will receive email notifications for a range of events. Instant will send an email as soon as the event occurs; Daily Report will send the user one email per day with a summary of events for that particular day - usually around midnight.
Email Type¶
Determines the format of email notifications sent by MAGIQ. HTML is the preferred option.
Receive documents as attachments¶
If selected every email notification sent by MAGIQ will have the document the notification is about attached to it, leave this option unchecked.
Task Redirection¶

End On¶
Displays when redirection is to end
Custom Properties¶
Allows the entry of data into a predefined Custom Property set - Usually used to capture workplace information for reporting purposes ie Department Name If data has already been entered, it will be displayed in its own section

View, Update or Add the selected user's Global Group Memberships.
Library Memberships¶
View, Update or Add the selected user's Library Memberships.
Local Group Memberships¶
View and Update the selected user's Local Group Memberships (Not used in MAGIQ Documents)
Subscriptions¶
(Displays when viewing a users profile from Control Panel - Manage users)
Displays the User's Subscriptions - click on the Document Id link to see the Document properties screen for the selected document.
Documents and Folders¶
(Displays when viewing a users profile from Control Panel - Manage users)
Shows a list of all documents and folders the selected user has created - click on the Document Id link to see the Document properties screen for the selected document.
Checked Out Documents¶
(Displays when viewing a users profile from Control Panel - Manage users)
Displays a list of documents the selected user currently has checked out - click on the Document Id link to see the Document properties screen for the selected document
Note
A Force Check in of all of the users checked out documents can be performed by selecting the 'Undo all Check Outs' button from this screen.
Authored Documents¶
(Displays when viewing a users profile from Control Panel - Manage users)
Displays a list of documents the user has created or modified.
ISO Reviewer Roles¶
(Displays when viewing a users profile from Control Panel - Manage users)
Displays a list of documents the user has ISO periodic reviews (resubmits) assigned
View Log¶
Displays a list of documents the user has accessed.
Workflow Roles¶
Displays a list of Workflows which the current user is a part of, including step, task name and workflow roles.
User Task Statistics¶
Displays Number of Workflow Roles, Due Task Count, Overdue Task Count and ISO Reviewer Roles
Send Welcome Email¶
(Displays when viewing a users profile from Control Panel - Manage users)
Sends the user an email welcoming them to MAGIQ Documents
WebDAV Sessions¶
Create an authentication ticket for your mapped network drive.
Add creates a webDAV session which will expire in 30 days.
Add custom expiration create a session that will expire when you choose it to.
The session can be deleted by clicking
