Editing Custom Property Sets

To add fields to an existing Custom Property Set

  • Navigate to the MAGIQ Documents Control Panel.
  • Click Custom Properties.
  • Select the custom property set you wish to edit by clicking on it.
  • Click Fields located in sidebar menu.
  • A prompt for a new field will automatically appear.
  • Enter the appropriate information to enter a new field.
  • Click add-field (Add) button.

To delete fields from an existing Custom Property Set

Deletes the custom property set including all associated data.

Note

This action is not reversible and you will permanently lose the data values for deleted fields.

Further IT input and involvement is highly recommended at this stage prior to making a final decision.

  • Navigate to the MAGIQ Documents Control Panel.
  • Click Custom Properties.
  • Select the custom property set you wish to edit by clicking on it.
  • Click Fields located in sidebar menu. The "Custom Property Fields" window will appear.
  • Click the appropriate "delete" delete-field located on each row to delete the field.

To change the order in which custom properties are displayed or prompted

  • Navigate to the MAGIQ Documents Control Panel.
  • Click Custom Properties.
  • Select the custom property set you wish to edit by clicking on it.
  • Click Fields located in sidebar menu. The "Custom Property Fields" window will appear.
  • Change the order of the displayed fields by clicking on the up and down arrows that appear in the far-right column of this screen.

To change the caption of custom properties

  • Navigate to the MAGIQ Documents Control Panel.
  • Click Custom Properties.
  • Select the custom property set you wish to edit by clicking on it.
  • Click Properties located in sidebar menu. The "Custom Property Settings" screen will appear.
  • Edit the Caption field to make the desired change.

Security Considerations

Only the System Administrator and members of the [administrators] global user group can define or edit Custom Property Sets.
